Prof. Priscila Villela, PhD

Professor at the International Relations program at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), researcher at the Observatory of International Relations at PUC-SP (ORI), and vice-coordinator of the Transnational Security Studies Center (NETS). Holds a Ph.D. and master’s in international relations from the San Tiago Dantas Graduate Program (UNESP, UNICAMP, PUC-SP). A member of the international network Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime  (GI-TOC) in the field of Drug Trafficking, Governance, and Corruption (since 2023), and was a guest researcher at the Kellogg Institute/Notre Dame University (2023). Researches the transnational dimensions of security and policing, particularly focusing on efforts to combat drug trafficking and other transnational crimes. As an extension of this agenda, her research delves into the issues of cities and violence from a global perspective.
