Documentation produced by social groups and movements, church-related or not, committed to the defense of students, black people, migrants, women, workers, rural people, education as well as human rights aiming at meeting their cultural, social and political demands.

Coleções dos principais periódicos da imprensa alternativa - jornais de esquerda, partidos e organizações políticas clandestinas, revistas de contracultura e publicações de movimentos e grupos sociais . O acervo integra também títulos da imprensa de cultura e variedades – folhetins literários, femininos, sobre consumo e hábitos urbanos -, além de publicações científicas nas áreas de Ciências Sociais, História e Arquivologia.

NEWSPAPER ARCHIVES
Collections of the major journals in the alternative press - left-wing newspapers, parties and clandestine political organizations, counterculture magazines as well as publications by movements and social groups. The newspaper archives also comprise publications in the culture and varieties press – literary, feminine newspaper serials on consumption and urban habits -, besides scientific publications on Social Sciences, History and Archiving.

O CLAMOR - Comitê pelos Direitos Humanos no Cone Sul atuou com sede em São Paulo entre os anos de 1978 e 1991, e é reconhecido como uma das mais importantes entidades de solidariedade com refugiados, presos e perseguidos políticos das ditaduras do Cone Sul, e de informação e denúncia sobre os crimes contra os direitos humanos cometidos por essas ditaduras. Atuando na contramão da conhecida Operação CONDOR, no Brasil e na América Latina, prestou efetiva assistência aos refugiados no país, oriundos de Argentina, Chile, Paraguai e Uruguai. ...

CLAMOR Fonds: MEMORY OF THE WORLD

CLAMOR – Headquartered in São Paulo, the Committee in Defense of Human Rights in the Southern Cone operated between 1978 and 1991 and it is acknowledged as one of the most important solidarity entities in defense of the refugees, the persecuted and political prisioners from the Sothern Cone dictatorships. It is also an entity providing information and reporting crimes against human rights committed during those dictatorships. Running counter to the known CONDOR Operation in Brazil and Latin America, the Committee has effectively assisted the refugees from Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay in Brazil.

It traces the evolution of thinking, discoveries and achievements of human society. It is the legacy from the past for the present and future world community.”
