Projeto: A construção de sentido em jogos educativos multimídia / How the meaning is constructed in the multimedia educational games. (or. Ana Claudia Oliveira)

No estágio atual, esta pesquisa, por meio da semiotização do jogo educativo multimídia "O mundo de Sofia", procura determinar sua construção de sentido. Qual o propósito do jogo? Há um proceso de ensino-aprendizagem? De que forma ocorrem as interações e as manipulações na relação entre o jogo e o usuário? Os simulacros construídos pelo jogo possibilitam um confrontamento do sujeito consigo mesmo e com o outro? Para entender estes mecanismos, utiliza-se, como base teórica, a semiótica de A. J. Greimas e de seus colaboradores, como J.-M. Floch e E. Landowski.

Through the semiotization of the multimedia educational game "The Sophie's World", the research currently aims to identify the construction of its meaning. What is the purpose of the game? Is there a teaching/learning process? How does interaction or manipulation happen? Does the simulacrum constructed by the game allow for the confrontation of the subject with himself and with the other? To understand those mechanisms, it has been primarily used the A. J. Greimas' semiotics, as well as the work by some of his collaborators such as J.-M. Floch and E. Landowski.

Fabiane Villela Marroni, professora da Escola de Informática da Universidade Católica de Pelotas, participa, nesta instituição, de pesquisas relacionadas à área de Informática e Educação. É mestranda do Programa de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Comunicação e Semiótica (PEPGCOS) da PUC/SP, pesquisadora do CPS:PEPGCOS - Centro de Pesquisas Sociossemióticas. Neste centro participou dos ateliers "Semiótica Visual" (1998) e "Semiótica Sincrética" (1999), o que resultou nas seguintes publicações: Semiotizando o CD "O Mundo de Sofia" e Análise semiótica da pintura "A primeira missa no Brasil" de Vitor Meireles de Lima. Atualmente integra os grupos de pesquisa sobre "Simulacros", no mesmo centro, e "Educação no Universo Virtual" no CIMID:PEPGCOS - Centro de Investigação em Mídias Digitais.

Fabiane Villela Marroni, professor at the School of Information Technology of the Catholic University of Pelotas, Brazil, where she conducts research in the field of Informatics and Education. She is currently a student at the Post-Graduate Program in Communication and Semiotics and researcher at the Center of Socio-semiotics (CPS:PEPGCOS) at the Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil. In this institution, she has participated in the groups of study in "Visual Semiotics" (1998) and "Syncretics Semiotics" (1999). She has published the essays: A semiotic analysis of "The Sophie’s World" and A semiotic analysis of the painting "The first mass in Brazil" by Vitor Meirelles de Lima. She is currently a member of the group "Simulacrum", of the CPS:PEPGCOS, and "Education in the Virtual Universe", of the Centre of Research on Digital Media (CIMID:PEPGCOS).
