Dissertação: Dança, hipermídia e videogame: os corpos de fronteira do Cena 11 / Dance, hypermedia and videogame: the boundaries's bodies of Cena 11 Brazilian Group (or. Helena Katz)

This study analyses, under the view of co-evolution, the insertion of the dance group Cena 11 Cia. in a context (universe) that gathers contemporary dance and investigations with technology.
The Cena 11 developed a particular and refined way of dancing from the interaction with technological resources. The hypothesis which guided this research is the close relation between the dance built by the group and some characteristics found in hypermedia and the interface of video game. The dance performed by Cena 11 is the evolving result between body and environment(s), human being and artefact.
Aiming at verifying the cultural ideas present in the building up of a singular interface, this dissertation describes the Santa Catarina Brazil) company trajectory in the last five years, through the shows: "Respostas Sobre Dor" (1995), "O Novo Cangaço" (1996), "In’perfeito" (1997), "A Carne dos Vencidos no Verbo dos Anjos" (1998) and "Violência" (2000).
On the stage, the Cena 11 is close to video game: violence, repetition, risky situations and handling, power over human beings, prosthesis, images, sounds..... the bodies of Cena 11 become pixels before our eyes.
