Projeto: Webart

O projeto wAwRwT (http://wawrwt.iar.unicamp.br) coordenado por Gilbertto Prado, tem como intenção a realização de trabalhos artísticos na rede Internet assim como uma reflexão sobre as poéticas tecnológicas, privilegiando a dimensão artístico-telemática. Pretende-se verificar ainda como essas novas tecnologias estariam também influenciando e retroagindo na construção desses novos espaços de atuação/criação.

The wAwRwT project (http://wawrwt.iar.unicamp.br) coordinated by Gilbertto Prado intends both to develop artistic work for the Internet as well as to reflect upon the technological poetics, focusing on the artistic-telematic dimension. Besides, this project intends to investigate whether and how these new technologies are influencing and being influenced by the construction of those new spaces of creation and intervention.

Gilbertto Prado nasceu em Santos, Brasil e é artista multimídia. Estudou Engenharia e Artes Plásticas na Unicamp (Universidade de Campinas - São Paulo). Em 1994 obteve seu doutorado em Artes na Universidade de Paris 1 e atualmente é professor do Departamento de Multimeios do Instituto de Artes da Unicamp (http://wawrwt.iar.unicamp.br/gilbertto/gilbertto.htm).

Gilbertto Prado was born in Santos, Brazil and he is a multimedia artist. He studied Engineering and Visual Arts in the Unicamp (Campinas University - São Paulo). In 1994 he obtained his doctoral degree in Arts in the University of Paris I - Sorbonne and currently he is Professor in the Multimedia Department of the Institute of Arts at Unicamp (http://wawrwt.iar.unicamp.br/gilbertto/gilbertto.htm).
