LLS - Activities
Research Groups: although the researchers are completely free to develop
their own research projects, the LLS encourages the formation of research
groups. These groups should gather researchers and artists with common interests
to exchange their ideas about specific subjects. Currently, there are groups
working on music interaction and music programming in the MAX environment.
Education: There is no regular course at LLS. People interested in working
at the laboratory/studio should be a regular student at the Graduate Program
in Communication and Semiotics. However the LLS periodically offers small
courses, workshops, and lectures which are given either by its affiliated
researchers or guests. In the last three years the LLS has received many
guests, among them Bob Willey (CRCA, USA), Silvia Matheus (CNMAT, USA) Leo
Küpper (Belgium), Marc Leman (IPEM, Belgium), Conrado Silva (UnB),
Guido Stolfi (USP), Hans-Joachin Koellreutter, Eduardo Seicman (USP), José
Augusto Mannis (CDMC), Gilberto Mendes, Flo Menezes (UNESP), David Lidov (Univ. York, Canada).
Artistic Production - The LLS has been producing a wide range of works,
from sound tracks for CD-ROMs and video to sound poems to electronic music
