The 8th International Conference on Innovation and Management was held on Nov. 30, 2011 in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, JAPAN. Organized by the Yamguchi University of Thecnology.

The 7th ICIM took place at the city of WUHAN in China from 4th-5th of December 2010, organized by the WUHAN University of Technology , and focusing in Open and Collaborative Innovation.

2009
The 6th ICIM took place at the city of São Paulo in Brazil from 8th-10th of December 2009, organized by the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo, and coordinated by the Center for Future Studies NEF-PUCSP (Brazil).
ICIM2009 discussed current thinking and future trends in management of life supporting innovation, knowledge economy and emerging business models, focusing in particular on Sustainable Development.

2008
The International Congress on Innovation and Management has proven to be a high-profile event for leading international scholars in the area of management and innovation, practitioners and stakeholders. Originally held at China and Japan, the last ICIM editions (5th and 4th) were coordinated by some partners. At 2008, the 5th ICIM was organized and hosted by UNU-MERIT and took place at Maastricht (The Netherlands).
